Urban Decay: Door Studies

I headed into the historic center this afternoon to see what photos would strike me and I must say, I was feeling a bit uninspired. That is, until I stepped on to via dei Falegnami and started to look at the big, heavy, wooden doors. I've written about my interest in urban decay before and these doors seem ripe for the same sort of study. These shots are my two favorite, where peeling wood, graffiti tags, and irons locks all come together for an interesting and beautiful shot. Shortly after I was driven home by the onset of rain, which seems to have taken hold of the city as soon as it became November 1. Let's hope it's not like last year!
